Beginner's Guide to Boxing

Safety Tips

Boxing can be tough, but it should never be reckless. Following basic safety guidelines helps you train hard while protecting your body and your long-term health.

  • Warm Up First: Always warm up with light cardio and mobility work before hitting the bag or pads.
  • Wrap Your Hands: Use proper hand wraps every time you punch to support your wrists and knuckles.
  • Use Proper Technique: Don’t just throw wild punches. Learn correct form to avoid injuries.
  • Listen to Your Body: If something hurts in a “bad” way, stop and rest. Pushing through sharp pain can lead to long-term problems.
  • Hydrate & Recover: Drink water, stretch after training, and give yourself rest days.
