The right gear keeps you safe and makes training more enjoyable. As a beginner, focus on a few essentials:
- Gloves: 14–16 oz gloves are common for beginners and offer good protection.
- Hand Wraps: Help support your wrists and knuckles when hitting the bag or pads.
- Headgear & Mouthguard: Important if you ever do light sparring or partner drills.
- Bag or Mitts: A heavy bag or focus mitts give you a safe target to practice technique.
